Funeral Services

Funeral service – Cremation and Burial

The death of a loved one brings into your life so many mixed emotions. There is no right or wrong way to grieve and mourn your loved one. I can help and plan a celebration of life for a service at a crematorium, cemetery, woodland burial, memorial or anything else you had in mind.

Your ceremony can be completely non-spiritual, entirely spiritual or something in-between. Quiet and serene, weird and wacky or even dancing in the aisles, the choice is yours and I am here to help and guide you and carry out those wishes, to create an everlasting celebration of life.

Cremation, Burial, Internment of ashes

A funeral service held by a celebrant gives you that choice to have the celebration of their life that your loved one would have wanted or has already chosen. A civil funeral can be held almost anywhere, but most people opt to have the service in a crematorium, or at a graveside.

I will initially make contact with you and introduce myself, make a convenient appointment to speak or meet with you to chat about your loved one and write a personal tribute  about their life. We can talk about all the options that are open to you, whether you would like to sing hymns or listen to music. Whether you would like to include  poems, The Lord’s Prayer, a religious reading  or even a small tribute from another family member or friend.

There are other options available but whatever you choose, you can be assured that the funeral ceremony will be created to your request. I will always work closely with you and your chosen Funeral Director to ensure that every celebration is unique and personal to your loved one.

Scattering or Internment of ashes

After a cremation, families choose to have the ashes scattered or interred  in a grave. I can assist you with this and write a ceremony for this special service.

Child and baby funerals

Any death is difficult to deal with, but the loss of a child at any age is unthinkable. With experience in supporting families through this loss and conducting celebration of life ceremonies for young children and babies, I can help guide you through this.

Memorial ceremonies

A funeral ceremony isn’t for everyone, some people choose to go straight to be cremated, or want little or no fuss, or a small private funeral, so a memorial ceremony is an appropriate alternative. Again, we will create that memorial that you would like to your needs.

I will liaise with you and together we will create the Celebration of Life for your loved one. All my funeral services are bespoke and tailored to meet the family’s needs.
